OFF Meeting on Sunday 6th December

Hey everyone.

We have a meeting planned for the upcoming Sunday (December 6th 2009) for all you FanFiction authors and Fan Artists.

The address is Caffe Nero, 2 Charlotte Street, London at 2:00PM. A map can be found here.

We're meeting on the TOP floor, so you know - just in case you turn up and wonder why there's nobody talking about Fanfiction.

You will need to buy a coffee to be allowed in - I don't think Caffe Nero will appreciate people using their space without at least buying an Espresso.

About Allys

Hey, I'm Allys (ShatteredGlass) and I'll be working alongside Scourge (Scourgeofthegalaxy) to help bring the FanFic authors of Britain closer together. Although I personally shall be concentraiting on configuring any London meetings that will occur this site is for all major areas and cities.
We hope to find people local to other areas to delgate the tasks of other meet zones in the future.

The first ever OFF (Offline FanFiction) meeting occured today and- despite low turnout- went very well, highlighting areas that need to be improved on in order for OFF to work over the coming months. This blog is the first result of that. It will be a place for various areas to list meeting dates, to discuss Fics that we have read, to chat, to plug... ect.

Many of the people that we hope will make use of this blog may have found it as a result of the forum FanBBS, where, we found there was a little trouble keeping track of what was going on, where, when and who could make it. The aim of this blog is to organise the scheduling of OFF meetings more easily and increase turn-out and awarness.

This is the first post of many about Fanfiction and Offline FanFiction.

I'm Scourgeofthegalaxy, and the other person who'll be posting is Allys, better known as Oo.ShatteredGlass.oO. We're leading the way into the pretty-much uncharted territories of Offline FanFiction - abbreviated as, aptly, OFF.

Our aim as a pair (for now) is to get authors to meet up, share ideas and generally have a good time! If you're an author, you'll fit right in with us.
